The Return Of The Electric Car

29-09-2009

This Blog article takes a look at some of the issues that electric cars face over the next few years as more and more manufacturers bring them to market. Some of them, like range limitations, are obvious, but others are less so and depend on a whole host of unknown factors, as when trying to predict the cost of replacement batteries, for example.

Most of these issues will need to be dealt with one way or another by manufacturers as the market matures after the debut in 2010 of some key models, like GM's hybrid Volt and BYD's electric E6, which is backed by the world's richest man, Warren Buffet, and the richest man in China, Wang Chuanfu, and aims to change the image of Chinese cars and products in the US once and for all.

As this Blog post is quite long, I've put it in its own section on the site. It can be accessed under 'electric cars' on the lower menu bar. It has direct links to all the sources used. If you have any comments on it, you can post them on our current forums on Facebook, at Made In Nations Forums.
